What happens when the Apple Developer Program ends?

There is a free app in the App Store.
When the Apple Dev Program subscription expires, what privileges will the developer lose?
Obviously, it will be impossible to release an update for your application, since there will be no access to create certificates and provisioning profiles. But will published applications continue to exist?
And are apps removed from the App Store that have not received updates for a long time?

applications will be removed from the store, but will remain available to those who managed to buy / install them.
Applications without updates are not deleted.
