What happens to a site with HSTS when the certificate expires?

Will it be possible to correctly replace the old certificate with a new one? I think that certificate pinning can interfere, but I'm not sure

nothing will happen. Everything will work. With the exception of a warning in browsers, the browser itself will constantly warn that the certificate has expired
