What happened to the repository?

An error occurred with the repository while checking for updates.
Perhaps the repository is no longer available or is not accessible due to network problems. The old version of the index will be used, if available. Otherwise, the repository will be ignored. Check the network connection and the correct spelling of the repository address in the settings. The repository " https://download.mono-project.com/repo/ubuntu vs-bionic InRelease" changed the value of the "Suite" field from "vs-bionic" to "vs-bionic/snapshots/5.18.1.28"
Actually, the question is what actually happened. I didn't find any news or explanation on the official Mono Progect page. If you still need to correct something, then tell me how to do it (via Synaptic or the terminal)

@George6

xs there is a repository
https://download.mono-project.com/repo/ubuntu/dist...
and there is a repository
https://download.mono-project.com/repo/ubuntu/dist...
both are quite complete . choose the one you need.
see how the repository is listed in /etc/apt/sources.list (or in the files of the /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list directory) and fix it as needed.
