What happened to Facebook?
Hello! I, like many, have heard/read about yesterday's fall of Facebook services, of course, I got into the network to find out what happened all the same.
And everywhere there are crazy news articles from people who are very far from IT.
I decided to ask here among like-minded people, suddenly someone is aware of the details)
ps. from normal versions - I heard that they dropped BGP, and announcements did not fly "from inside" from DNSs

I don't think they're going to release some kind of detailed technical report - that sort of thing is just not Zuckerberg's way.
If you want to read technical but unofficial, then start with Hacker News:
https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28748203&p=2
However, the number of comments under that post has grown very much and the comment that was on the first screen now on the second page.
Then you can look here, an engineer from the recovery team was noted there:
https://old.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/q181fv/...
However, he soon deleted not only his comments, but also his account entirely. Apparently, someone did not like that the employee took the initiative and arranged such publicity.
But people who adequately represent the real "openness" of Facebook have made archival copies:

There is also https:// blog.cloudflare.com/october-2021-facebook-... and https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28752131
