What free music creation program should a beginner choose to embed the resulting compositions into commercial products for free?

OS: Linux, Windows.
It is desirable, but not essential, that the program be easy to learn.

Search for "free daw" keywords. Maybe something will come up.
I would recommend something like tracktion (they have a rule: version -1 is always free)
Why it is: quite new on the market for this software, so it "travels" on all new features, not as conservative as some (read - convenient) . Works under Windows and Linux, which is important. If there is a desire or money, it will be possible to purchase a paid version (and not much relearn).

What do you pay for when you purchase professional music production software.
1. Professional sound. If the music does not sound, then it is just a meaningless set of notes.
2. Professional sound processing tools. In no free program you will find an equalizer with real-time frequency response visualization, for example.
3. Libraries of ready sounds and presets. They allow you to create music quickly. There is a difference - to write a composition in a week or in two days. On the first day you write it down, and the next day you listen to what needs to be corrected in it.
On Windows, I can recommend Fruity Loops or Steinberg Cubase. The former is good for creating electronic music, the latter for more traditional genres.
