What forum CMS are relevant and actively supported at the moment?

Foreword:
I haven't followed the development of this CMS category for many years and the last time I was interested in it and had my own projects, SMF, MyBB with vBulletin (and the monstrous IP.Board) were in trend.
And the other day, having decided to refresh my ideas, I found no visible progress over the past 4 years. All the same engines I named with extremely slow development.
My observations:
There are attempts to create something new (Vanilla, FluxBB, NodeBB, Flarum ex esoTalk), but somehow it all looks hipster and does not inspire seriousness (a small development team with raw systems and a poor community). And the Russian communities of both are generally depressing.
Actually questions:

  • What forum CMS are relevant and actively supported at the moment?
  • Which of them already inspire seriousness and confidence that the project will not be abandoned in a couple of versions?
  • Which of them have a strong community with at least maintained mods, and not a hundred crafts on the knee a couple of years ago?
