Question for students who study in Moscow or St. Petersburg and live in a hostel. Approximately how much goes a month for food, travel and other necessary things.
I am going to enter these cities, and I would like to know at least approximately what to expect.

Metro / ground tickets cost several hundred rubles a month for students. In fact, this can be neglected.
Students, of course, are all different and everyone has their own appetite. I'd put down 15k a month right now. This is 500 rubles a day, half of which will be lunch at the university. Everything else is for products. With due diligence, you can get a more or less normal diet.
The rest of the categories by type of clothing / leisure - each has its own budget and opportunities.

In St. Petersburg, it took me at least 10k per month, but it's not so easy. I cooked by myself, I got to the university on foot. The hostel took about 1500 - 2000. Everything else - products and household necessities.
Optimally 20k per month, so that you can eat in the same poppy / canteen / etc from time to time, and relax with classmates and friends, the student is the same)
