Either your flash drive is broken or the usb port is gouged. I have never heard of usb storage drivers magically disappearing.

First, determine that the problem is in the driver.
1. Insert another flash drive into the same slot.
2. Insert the flash drive into another computer.
If the port does not respond to any flash drive, the problem is in it, do as vikafly advised.
If the port responds to other flash drives, and neither the computer sees the problematic flash drive, then it is dead, unfortunately.
I took mygad.ru flash drives in bulk - everything worked.
