What does this symbol on the board mean?
Tried googling, didn't help. I understand it's some kind of fuse. You can immediately link to the chip and dip

Obviously, the reverse side of the board shows the elements that are on the front side. In this case, these are ordinary wire jumpers, not any fuses.
As jumpers, you can use trimmings from the leads of parts, or a single-core wire of a suitable section. The wire is sold in Chip-Deep, and indeed in electrical stores.
But judging by the way it banged, the problem is clearly not in the jumper - most likely, the kayuk amplifier microcircuit.
