What does this strange error mean?
A long time ago I archived some of my unnecessary folders into an archive using WinRAR. Now, a year later, I can't open this archive because it throws some strange error; Infection: Unable to share RAR files over the network and display an error. What does it mean? Maybe you should get rid of this archive?

You need to make sure that the archive really does not contain infection. This can be done by uploading the file to the VirusTotal website , which will check the file for infection with several dozen different antiviruses at the same time.
Copy the archive to C: first, then open. Regarding the "infection" - check the media where the archive is now, especially if it is a different computer, it can easily be that it has a virus on it.
There is nothing terrible in this, here on the website of the program www.erepairrar.com/ru it is said about such an error, and about the possibility of correcting it.
From myself, I can still advise you to try opening this archive with another archiver, for example 7zip. Google has a lot of information about winrar recovery.
