What does the green mark mean?

What do the green "marks" mean in VS (Express 2013) ? Definitely not comments.

In my opinion, this is highlighting project changes after compilation.
Yellow - new text, not yet debugged. Green - there was a build of the project.

Yellow - modified but not saved text. Green - saved.

I am not familiar with VS, but I will assume that this is how the added lines are marked when working with git / another vcs.
