What does the Dissolve brush mode do in Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.2?
I do not understand how this mode works, I want to figure out what it is for and how to use it.
With the exception of such a torn edge, I still do not see any differences.
It is not just ragged, but as if pixelated, it crumbles into random pixels. Perhaps this is not all of its functionality. Please explain why you need this mode with such an effect?

Dissolve works best when painting with transparency. Like) Or try a soft brush.
As the brush moves, it draws a line that fades into transparency.
