What does programming concepts mean?

I read in the article that it is important for a beginner to understand programming concepts, not patterns, what concepts are we talking about?

Patterns are ready-made solutions for a certain type of task. The concept is understood as the correct approach to programming, this is a very broad concept, starting from the naming of variables, ending with hooking and connectedness, i.e. everything that makes the code understandable, easily extensible and maintainable. And, of course, there can be several concepts, because different people will take different paths, but most of the fundamental things will still be the same.
