What does an IS specialist do?

Hello.
I am 17 years old, I have already written my exams and I want to enter the Perm Polytechnic University. I studied computer science from the 9th grade (I studied because I had to prepare for the exam from September 2020), tried to write in different programming languages, studied data structures, operating systems, web development, etc. So, at the moment I decided on what I want to do in the future. I would like to enter the direction of "information security", and I have questions for those who graduated from the university in this direction. What are you doing now? Are you a professional? To what extent did the expectation match reality?
My expectation: I will become a real programmer who will understand algorithms, cryptography, how the Internet and networks work, I will be able to write drivers, raise servers, learn to look for vulnerabilities in IP, web applications and much more. Of course, I understand that everything comes with experience.
I hope you understand me. I wrote in one breath.
