Learn programming now or later?
Hello!
I want to ask you for advice.
The fact is that I recently moved to the 9th grade and, of course, the time for career guidance has come.
I live in Kazakhstan and we have our own branch of Moscow State University, and in it is the faculty of the CMC.
At first I thought to study there, because it is much easier to enter here than in Russia, and they give a diploma of the Moscow model. But in order to enter there, I still have to pull up mathematics and physics. My sister says if I start programming now (I'm 15 years old), then by the age of 18 I will have such a good experience to work and earn enough.
She wants me to visit her in the States, because there is a big demand for programmers there.
Now I'm at a crossroads, and I have no idea what to choose: click on math / physics and enter a university, or forget about everything and learn to program?

Learn programming, gain experience, then fly to the STATES.

Without a diploma in the States, it will be much more difficult to get a job. If you dream of going abroad, immediately count on the need for a specialized master's degree .
By 18 (in 3 years) you are very unlikely to have worthwhile programming experience. The maximum is knowledge of the basics and ability for a junior position. There are no shortcuts to becoming a great specialist. These are years of study, work and the accumulation of broad competence. You still have a lot of time ahead, sacrificing opportunities (study while there are no obligations, like work-family-credits) for the sake of a job that will always be, kmk, unwise.
But no one bothers to learn to program on their own in their free time. In itself, this is not rocket science, but the materials around are a wagon. The main thing is not to get bogged down in the web frontend (=
