What does an information security engineer need to know?
Hi people. I'm 14, I want to get into the IT field, in particular, in information security. There are computer science lessons at school, but it's hard to call it computer science. I myself started to learn Python and kali linux not long ago. So, knowledge consists in fixing computers, the ability to code for arduino and the passage of "Watch dogs" :) I want to ask a question. What does an information security engineer need to know? (Yes, I understand that there are different specialties. But there is probably some kind of knowledge that everyone who studies information security should master?)

What is an IS engineer in your opinion?
Write security guidelines for companies? - to you on legal.
Or do you want to write security products? - just learn programming.
Or you want to become an integrator of security systems - you need electronics.
Dig into the current job market, look at the requirements of those vacancies that interest you.
Initially - you need to know the theoretical part!
Because without knowledge of theory, practice is absolutely useless.
Google "information security"
