What do you think about storing some metadata in a DB column comment, for example as JSON?

Is it possible to store additional metadata, such as form field type, DataGrid column width, title, field name, help tooltip etc. as a JSON string in a DB column comment? Some analogue of annotations.) Or is it complete nonsense? If not, why not.

In order to leave comments, you need to log in

Why not? The comments are made up.
However, it is worth considering a number of questions, for example:
- do not run into the size of the comment;
How will you receive comments?
- how to work with fields containing links to other entities;
- what if you need to specify a link to another entity in the comment;
- what to do if you need to translate the application into another language;
- etc.
