What do you think about PRestashop?
Good afternoon, who has used (uses, will use) the prestashop system, what are your reviews? I thought about buying a good localized template and building a store on it, I wonder who came across?

In my opinion, he is dead, at least Russian-speaking support. I don’t remember exactly the site, it was almost the only one, because the owner once sold this project there.
We develop PrestaShop templates.
At first, they just reworked, now we have our own 30+ adaptive templates and our own modules for them.
You can make a good store on the presta, with a programmer and a designer, a marketer will not hurt either.
Naturally, it turns out not cheap, that is, I would not consider an option with a good store cheaper than 300-600k.
In the west, it is considered one of the best CMS along with Magento and Opencart. Inferior in popularity to Wordpress, but Wordpress is a blogging engine and does not have as many store features as PrestaShop.
Templates and modules are not cheap when compared with analogues, but cheaper than Magento
There are not many programmers who know how to work with presta, those who work mostly work either for exchanges, or for the west or studios, so the rate is quite high. An average of 20-30 Eurodollars per hour. There is always a lot of work on PrestaShop.
Russian-language support is more dead than alive, but you can find the answer to a large number of questions, in the English-language branch you can find help with a probability of more than 90%, for the rest freelancers and programmers.
The reason is that the community solves its local problems, there are many of them, and people who really help can be counted on the fingers, for 2-3 years we also helped on the forums, then we began to develop only our own projects, but this is more of a global trend, time everyone is in short supply.
Ultimately, presta can come out better and cheaper, even Bitrix, depending on the setting of tasks and specialists.
It takes quite a long time to understand presta on your own, but it’s not fast in other engines either.
Basic things are easy to do, there is Presta Cloud hosting, which is free, the trick is that part of the code on it is closed, and you can’t download modules, you just need to buy templates too.
Now the competition is quite high, the quality of all components and other engines is growing, it becomes a little more difficult to understand every year.
All engines are trying to be more understandable and easy to use, now there is a trend towards customization of all components, and it will be a few more years until fully customizable sites appear.
