What do you need to know to do data analysis?

Good afternoon. I would like to know what you need to know in order to engage in data analysis, judging by the description of this course, there seems to be nothing special, but I suspect that you need to know mathematics, probability theory and, probably, mathematical analysis. At the university I studied mathematical analysis with matlab, but it was 10 years ago, so I don’t remember anything anymore.
At the moment I have been working as a system administrator for more than 12 years, I studied programming at home, even went to an interview and received offers for a junior, but I’m not sure if I want to be a developer, I need to learn a lot, I thought I might go into analytics, but I don’t know what I need to know , I want to be a specialist in some narrow area.

You need to know the subject area, and yes, to own algorithms.
Then it all depends on the subject area.
If you work in the field of physics, it is good to know physics. If in the field of finance - finance and so on.

To engage in data analysis, first of all:
1. Be able to search and find information on the Internet INDEPENDENTLY.
2. Be able to INDEPENDENTLY analyze the information found.
3. Be able to INDEPENDENTLY draw conclusions from the analysis.
So far, TS has obviously nothing to do with this. This question is asked even on the Toaster three times a week, and on the Internet there are a lot of articles on the topic every day. Let's open the tags "Machine learning", "Data science", "Data mining", and finally "IT-EDUCATION". and go! “But no, I don’t want to search, I can’t find it, let someone else find it and tell me.
And one more thing. to disappoint you
