What do you need for Arduino + RFID and/or NFC?

Hello! I liked arduino projects and wanted to work with RFID and/or NFC readers, but I'm not familiar with arduino and the simplest projects (no need to be persuaded to buy LEDs and the like, I want to start with readers)
What do I need to buy for this?
1) Arduino Uno
2) Reader
3) Breadboard
4) Wires (only which? Mom, Dad. M-M, P-P or P-M?)
