What do front-end freelancers do?

I know only 1 freelancer. PHP developer. Well, everything is clear here, he writes scripts for the backend, always necessary. I study frontend as a hobby, I like it. And I thought: why not try to freelance in the future? But the problem is: people have free or cheap templates, all kinds of wordpresses, etc. And that's it, the site is done, it remains to pay the backend developer. So what is a front-end developer to do? Create templates to get very little money?

there are free or cheap templates, all sorts of wordpresses, etc. And

In this case, designers and backenders also have nothing to do: after all, there are ready-made templates and WordPress.

And why do you consider ten thousand dollars or what thousands that a good template creator cuts per month as small ones? He rivets templates, and money drips, today a thousand bucks, tomorrow a thousand bucks, like a penny, but it pleases, of course, you can’t live luxuriously with that kind of money, but it’s quite possible to exist

It seems to me that if the template is paid and popular, the money may turn out to be far from small. Five old women - a ruble ...

In my opinion, you somehow don’t quite understand the difference between the work of a layout designer and a front-end dev, a layout designer is just creating templates and “pulling” them onto a CMS, a front-end developer works in a slightly different field of activity - creating interfaces, working with data, etc. d., most often through js. Guys from the first category, if not pros in their field with a good rating on the stock exchange and a client base, get 100k only in dreams, for a front-end developer, this is a junior + / middle salary
