What direction in the university should a programmer enter?

I'm interested in 3D graphics, the c++ programming language, artificial intelligence and, in principle, understanding how a computer works.

Ideally, I would like to do business related to the development of computer / mobile games. And now I do not know what to choose from all directions.

So far, I have focused on the areas of "software engineering" and "informatics and computer technology". It seems like software engineering is more focused on project management, but it does not study the intricacies of the computer, which kind of makes you not a strong professional.

But at the same time, I'm afraid that "computer science and computer technology" will turn me into some kind of system administrator who will go around and repair printers, which is also not very cool. However, what is being studied in the direction of "computer science and computer technology" is more interesting to me, but the ability to manage projects, I think, will be more useful for my purposes.

I heard that it is mostly graduates of the field of "informatics and computer technology" who are engaged in game development, but at the same time, "software engineering" seems to be more suitable for this.

Also, I'm not very interested in web development, which is in software engineering. I would not want the direction I have chosen to be sharpened for creating websites.

In general, I am completely confused and do not know what to choose. I will be very grateful for advice. Thanks in advance! :)

What has the school made of you? An excellent student who knows all the school material 100%?
Or during school, did you have any hobbies of your own that you understand, but your classmates do not?
The Institute does not make anything out of anyone. Only the student can take or not take knowledge. And it depends on you how much and what you take at the institute, and how much independently and separately. Also, do not forget that the institute is not a school, no one will run after you and pull you by the ears to the next class. Did not learn - flunked - flew out.
Learn math in college. Especially geometry, since 3D graphics are of interest, and mathematics (theorver, mathematical analysis), since artificial intelligence is of interest. And teach the IT field yourself, at the institute they usually can’t even give knowledge to an intern.
