What designs of desktop robots can be close to precision ones?

It is necessary to evaluate the possibility of creating and manufacturing a desktop precision multifunctional robot in Russia.
And based on this, choose the optimal design.

And what kind of accuracy are we talking about? Dozens, hundreds?
I see two design options when it comes to multifunctional machines: a conventional industrial robotic arm and a three-axis linear system (with an optional fourth or fifth axis, already rotational). The second option can also be implemented upside down - a three-axis table, by analogy with any milling machine.
And now the most interesting - production in the Russian Federation. Well .. we can make a supporting frame, body parts, casing. It will be long, expensive and not to say that the third, but real. If single or small-scale, then cheaper. However, the most important thing is that brains and drives will have to be bought abroad. Moreover, all this will cost even more steeply (you can see the cost of small-sized precision drives - it doesn’t look like pocket money). And it does not depend on the design - there are both rotary and linear drives. Availability is limited only by your ability to trade with a particular company (some do not work with individuals at all). There is no way to save on construction. Drives must be small and precise. The option to smooth this over with a tricky gear with clutches and an insane gearbox, which on precise positioning will have a crazy gear ratio, is not worth it. Firstly, the creation of such a node will fly into a substantial amount: you need to find a designer who will come up with it small-sized, pay him money. Then you need to find where to do it (and this is serious, they won’t do it in the garage) and also pay them money. And you will have a unique gearbox with components that are unrealistic to buy if something breaks, but it will take up a lot of space and weigh too. Therefore, unanimously - a ready-made drive of permissible accuracy. which is unrealistic to buy if something is broken, but it will take up a lot of space and weigh too. Well, do not forget about the software, of course. Firmware for a robotic arm is not an easy task .. from the word at all. There is a really serious control system that requires good practical knowledge in mechatronics. You need either a savvy development team, or be able to explain tasks well and delegate them.
In other words: It is possible to design and manufacture in the Russian Federation using some purchased foreign units. The complexity is directly related firstly to your wallet (having a good investor) and secondly, but no less important, which part of the body you are immersed in the industry. Do you have suppliers of drives, do you have a designer, do you have contacts in production, are there any programmers of all this? And if something is missing, do you know where to get them?
