What debian-like Linux distribution do you recommend?

Hello!
I actively use Ubuntu in my work, I seem to like it, but with the release of 14.04 LTS, the number of errors is simply huge, I decided to change it to something else. I'm looking towards Arch Linux, but... I don't even know.
Can you advise something?

What's wrong with Debian itself? And what about Mint?

Still, I'm looking in the direction of Arch Linux, I think I'll figure it out about the installation. Who knows what Awesome is?

Arch linux is definitely either pure debian stable
Awesome - it's a tiled vm, very convenient, I use it myself.

The best Linux is the right Linux.
Here FreeBSD - the correct Linux.

in general, the best option is debian from netinstall, without anything. everything else is added by handles if necessary. from the integrated interfaces xfce, e17, you can fluxbox / * wm if the integration of the environment is not needed

For a desktop system, you can try ubuntu 13.10 and when 14.04 becomes stable, switch to it
