What could be the reason for the appearance of an Ethernet adapter through a single boot of Windows?

This situation has been observed for many years. If you turn on the laptop, then after loading there may be no Ethernet adapter, if you reboot at the same time, it returns and works fine until the next reboot.
This phenomenon has survived two or more reinstallations of Windows, and different versions, so I highly doubt this is a software bug. Any suggestions?

You may need to flash the BIOS, look at the laptop manufacturer's website for updates to the BIOS. If there is, then perhaps it was eliminated there.
But I would personally check this software or hardware problem so that I would simply write down, install or run from a flash drive in live mode, some kind of Linux distribution, and then it would become clear whether the software is to blame or the hardware.
