Can I change Windows on a laptop with a broken matrix?
I have an old Compaq CQ58 laptop, on which the matrix cracked about six months ago. I want to change Windows, but the screen transfer button does not work (this is also possible because the screen is very old, it is probably over 20 years old). Blindly with the help of a phone, changing Windows is also not an option, there are some bugs.
I have a question: is it possible to put a hard drive on an old PC, change Windows and install drivers from a laptop on it and then put a hard drive in a laptop? (if yes, tell me how).

HP.com says that this model has 1 hdmi port and 1 vga port. You can install windows on another device, but when transferring hdd, you need to remove the drivers of some devices (you need to google how to untie windows from hardware). It's just not clear how you are going to use a laptop with a broken matrix.
Plug in a second monitor and start the installation. In theory, the image should be duplicated by default on it without additional. switching.
Otherwise, just install Windows on any other computer, taking into account the SATA operating mode settings. Preferably they should match ACHI/IDE, Native/Legacy.
