What could be the problem with slow network printer printing?

There is a Sharp MX-202D with a network card, printing occurs through a print server (WinSrv 2008r2), PCL6 driver (the newest from the official site).
The print server job arrives instantly, but it is transferred from it to the printer, either very slowly (from 2 to 10 minutes), or only % of the total size is transferred and the queue goes into an error state (probably there is a time out). This problem is usually observed with PDF documents, with the most ordinary ones (3-4 pages / 1-3 mb). There are no problems with the network at the physical layer. Before NG there was no delay.
How to troubleshoot this problem?

Try downloading an older version of the drivers, sometimes it helps.
