What communication protocols are used in modern networks?

There is information on the Internet about many protocols of the second and third layers of the OSI model. It is very difficult to figure out which protocols are still actively used, and which have long been out of use. Where can I find a complete list of these low-level protocols that are still supported? Thanks in advance for your replies.

The tcp/ip stack uses tcp, udp, and icmp packets. The existing tokenrings, ipx/spx, nowell are long gone.
There are also transport layer protocols and all kinds of telephony T1, E1, ISDN, ADSL ....
The question is what exactly did you mean by low level .. A colleague from the comment suggested that we are talking about services like dns, ntp, ftp , http but it's more like osi level 4 or 5.
