What causes Ubuntu (Freevo) to boot weird?

I have two OS Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 on one hard drive
. I work all the time in Ubuntu.
After some of the updates (I did not touch anything, it itself) a strange thing happens.
Grub is first on the Ubuntu list.
But when you turn on the computer, the weird Freevo shell is loaded.
It looks like this.
Restarting and shutting down just freezes the computer.

You have to press the off button and turn it on again.
From the second or third time my Ubuntu is loaded normally.
What is this miracle and how to get rid of it?

Freevo is an open source HTPC media center

It looks like this program just registered in the rude.
To remove, one must assume
sudo apt-get remove freevo
sudo update-grub
