What could be the problem?

The problem is clearly not in the wire. when connected to a laptop Acer Aspire 5742G (Core i5 480M 2660 Mhz/NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M) the picture at [email protected] is excellent

Connected through a DVI-HDMI adapter - the picture is perfect
