What can you do on your way to work?
The view from the window of public transport and listening to music is tired. I can't concentrate on reading a book in public transport.
The time I spend to get to work:
1. Walk from home to the bus stop - 10 minutes
2. Waiting for a trolleybus / bus - 5-10 minutes
3. Travel time in transport - 25-30 minutes
And this is a total of about 50 minutes multiplied by two a day.
What would you advise from personal experience and not only?

Relax, reflect.
On the way to work, you can decompose your tasks and make a plan for the day.
On the way home - just reflect, come to your senses.
A modern person has so little time to just stop and think about himself, life, etc. Everywhere a person is surrounded by a lot of unnecessary information, which makes it difficult to focus on something that can be really important. Therefore, I propose to simply stare out the window and think, as many around do)
I was in your situation, and when I got tired of the music and the view from the window of the transport, I started looking for a remote job or a job closer to home. After some time, I found it and I immediately disappeared such problems.
It took me more time to travel, and a fairly large part of it was taken by a trip to the subway.
I learned quite well to read in English, both in fiction and in my specialty.
