What can cause the computer to not work after assembly?
Hello. Decided to upgrade my computer. To do this, I bought a processor, a motherboard, RAM and a cooler for the processor.
Collected. When turned on, there is no image on the monitor and the speaker does not beep, but the fans are buzzing. (The speaker works, because it emits signals when the RAM is turned off).
Connected power to the motherboard and processor. The video card and power supply on the old motherboard, processor and RAM are working properly. Rechecked after unsuccessful assembly of the new one.
I reset the bios by removing the battery for 10 minutes.
Some say that a reset may close, I turned it off.
None of the above helped.
Computer configuration:
Power supply: FSP ATX-450N, 450w.
Motherboard: ASUS LGA1155 P8H61-M
Processor: Core i3-2120
Video card: Nvidia Geforce GT-440
Thank you. I hope for your help. The computer was not assembled for the first time, but this is the first time.

Less than a week ago I assembled a new computer and also silence and no image.
The jamb was found when the iron was brought to the service center …
One leg was bent at the processor . I highly recommend taking a closer look. I checked it 2 times and still only the guys in the guarantee noticed it, right in front of me.
-one. what tones does the speaker produce?
0. Until it starts up, use only the built-in vidyuhi, a processor with a cooler and memory.
1. the jumper is usually called cmos, clrts, ccmos and so on - look for details in the manual for the motherboard
looks like this
just remove it from position 0-1 and put it in 1-2, rearrange it back
2. do not forget to connect the 12V power supply (yellow-black square connector near the processor)
3. Is the power button or reset button not closed? disconnect all front panel wires and close PWR_SW with a screwdriver to start
4. Is the processor supported by the motherboard? Maybe the BIOS is too old for this version of the processor - take an older one, update the BIOS, put your own
5. Go over the motherboard with a toothbrush ... maybe something got somewhere
6. In general, get the mother out of the coffin and test everything on the knee.
The motherboard is dead or the contents of the BIOS have been lost (which is stored in flash, not in CMOS). To reset the CMOS, it is not enough to pull out the battery - there is a special jumper on the motherboard for reset.
Figase upgrade...
To do this, I bought a processor, motherboard, RAMIt was you who hung the old rest on a new computer.
And if you pull out the video card, and plug the video cable into the motherboard, the image will not appear?
1. Are the wires connected correctly from the case to the motherboard?
2. Perhaps the power supply is weak. even for your video card. For example, at 450 W gf 8800 did not start for me. True, the power supply was an old and little-known Chinese company
3. you need to check the fastening of the video card, memory and processor. Check the processor for broken legs (this happens)
1 long, 2 short Failure in video system An error was encountered in the video BIOS ROM, or a horizontal retrace failure has been encountered Has the video been
powered? =)
Without vidyuhi and memory, how will it squeak?
I advise you to take this video card back to the store, reviews about it are very contradictory. The card is cheap and not reliable. I myself encountered a problem with this video card not so long ago, in connection with which I also asked a question in QA. I solved my problem by returning the card to the store and purchasing another one, the consultant in the store said that these video cards are rented out quite often.
I see there is a solution, but I'll leave a comment here to the heap.
With similar symptoms - the computer seems to be working, but there is no image, it does not access the hard drive, as if it is hanging somewhere on the BIOS.
The solution is to plug the video cable into another connector on the video. Such a thing was with the mother from Asrock. At the first boot, it displays a message, something like "configure BIOS: yes / no", and displays only one video output.
