What can cause frequent breaks in the Mysql database?

The server addressing a DB costs in Russia, the server with a DB costs in Europe.
Ping - ~70.
Because of what there can be frequent breaks of connection to a DB?

traceroute server_ip
and then you ask the same question to all the owners of the nodes that traceroute issued :)
