I have a question: there is a project that needs to be done in python/django. As a project manager and one of its developers, I need to get into the topic of language and framework extremely quickly, and, consequently, all the features arising from it (GIL, sqlalchemy, pytest, etc.). What tools do you recommend for this? Anything from Udacity to books will do.

If the project will be done in python/django, then there is no need to learn GIL, sqlalchemy, pytest, etc.
You need to learn django. Don't skimp on the standard django documentation - it's good. Then you can some book, for example twoscoopspress.org
