What can be the further path of a novice IT specialist?

Now I am 17 years old, I graduated from high school with a good result. I enter the PMF MIPT without exams (behind my back is a rich Olympiad past in mathematics, physics and programming). But I want to connect my life with the programming of any complex systems or computer processing of physical processes. There are two options for the summer: go to work with a ++ junior or an intern (skills should be enough, there are some connections, there will be no problems getting a job in one large company), in order to gain experience and have a backup option for the future, or do distance learning in mathematics/physics. What would you advise me to do this summer before enrolling?

For 2 months, they won’t let you into a normal project on the pluses - no matter what connections you have there Find
a summer "school" from Yandex / intel / ...
alma mater and look for sensible professors, graduate students, teachers, so that they load you with work or let you see what they are sawing.
If it doesn’t work out at all, then go to a language camp with native English speakers. And if you have a really strong desire to nag
it is better to start by learning English, even to the detriment of all other disciplines

Option 1 - fill your hand, you will see how it boils in IT from the inside. And physics and mathematics are not the subjects that you can stupidly cheer for the summer and know by heart. It will be necessary - you will read and understand. You don't need it - just waste your summer.

I would advise going to work as a C++ developer. Understand how it is in industrial development, whether you like it. And if you improve your studies, then it’s probably worth reading Cormen and Kernighan and Ritchie (if you haven’t read it), in the first semester of MIPT, such baggage should be enough. (I advise Kormen because he is popular at the FIFT, if you go to FUPM, then perhaps they give Knut there.)
