What book to start learning UX/UI?

Advised to read Cooper.
There are two books:
1. Psychiatric hospital in the hands of patients
www.ozon.ru/context/detail/id/4710758
2. Interface. Fundamentals of Interaction Design (4th edition, 2016) (released just a couple of days ago in Russian)
www.ozon.ru/context/detail/id/135305819
Which one should I start with?

Reading without practice is useless. In practice, you will stumble upon problems that are described in books.

the first is a classic, you can start from it,
but you raise the question "which one to read to say that I understand the UI", if you want to get closer to the guru - read the more, the better
- there are specialized books, for example, on designing a search interface (which is sooo in demand in IM), for example:

I recommend not to read any books.
Especially translations.
Most of them are written in a lengthy language, 90% of them are "water", moreover, morally obsolete even at the time the book was printed in a printing house.
Trends are changing so rapidly now that what was popular a year ago today already looks like a mossy anachronism.
And no books will give you any basic knowledge or inspiration.
It is better to find some mass publics on Medium, Vkontakte, FB, Google+ and read them - there are often sensible articles that give an understanding of what is happening in the UI / UX market.
Well, the best assistant in our business is practice. Until you launch Sketch, you won’t know that it’s better to draw interfaces in it, and it’s much more convenient and faster, you just have to wean yourself from the Photoshop paradigm that reigned on the design market for two quarter of a century. Practice on fake projects, then go to real ones. It's good practice to draw UI kits. For yourself, then come in handy. This is to master the UI part. Next, you need to be introduced into specific orders and already step more widely, building your UX strategy by trial and error. There is no single recipe. Everyone has their own preferences and ways.

Read both, it's not War and Peace.
If it's about money, then "Psychiatric Hospital" and "Interface" (in English) can be found on the net. You can also buy "Interface" for 825 rubles. (promo code: interface).
And don't listen to people who tell you not to read books ;)
