What are useful utilities for programming in Ruby?

In general, I program in python and I'm used to all sorts of conveniences like ipython, pudb, code linting in sublime text 3, etc.
Can you suggest convenient solutions for programming, debugging ruby programs?
I will say right away - I am engaged in ruby in the context of the theory of computation according to the book of the same name for programmers. I do examples and tasks from the book and experience discomfort. Please help!
