What are the ways to reduce iowait on esxi?

There is a working machine with ESXi 5.1:
1 Xeon (I don't remember exactly), 32gb ram, 6x1tb sata in 10 raid.
It runs a mail server, several small linux machines (dhcp, bind, otrs, racktables, etc.) and there are 2 machines: zabbix-server and zabbix-proxy. All machines are created with standard settings.
The problem is that zabbix servers have an insanely high iowait almost always: in the region of 20-30% it happens very often.
What methods are applicable here to reduce cpu idle/increase disk speed?

Most likely the problem is in fucking housekeeping, use manual auskipping, not the built-in zabbisk and everything will fly.
