What are the ways to integrate the site into modx?
I chose the tsms on which I want to integrate a self-written site (without tsms).
What is the most convenient way to do this?
What pitfalls can I expect?

Among the known problems was:
incorrect work of javascript with data-(name) attributes
a huge headache when the site grows to a large size - these placeholders are nested in placeholders, you just start to get confused with these expanding brackets
constant search for some kind of plugin , and then search for a dude who will add this plugin.
If you wrote a self-written site, integrate it into the framework and do it right away.
There are no pitfalls for a specialist. Everything is done quite trivially if the site does not have complex non-standard functionality. Drive the layout into templates, cut them into chunks, add additional fields to resources through TV, install the necessary set of components, replace outputs with snippet calls, do not forget about caching, set up configuration, set up security policies for different user groups, set up the admin panel for the user. Ready.
It should also be remembered that MODX is closer to CMF, and, accordingly, the quality of the output site depends more on the experience of the developer than on classic CMS, where there is no such flexibility as on MODX.
