A DevOps engineer is a sysadmin in development. He is engaged in automating the process of rolling out fresh software to test areas, to production, and related things. Operates ci/cd systems, containerization, all sorts of monitoring, configuration management systems in addition to what a Linux (usually) admin usually does.
