What are the pros and cons of being an Android and iOS programmer?
I am changing my activity profile towards a mobile developer and I have a few questions:
Please describe your impressions of developing for iOS, Android? What do you like, what don't you like? What prospects do you see in this area?
The number of vacancies for Moscow is approximately the same, the salary too.
What are the differences in the development of iOS, Android? Subjective? Objective?
I studied Android on my own, now I am taking courses, I know very little about development for iOS. Although more than one issue is highlighted in the text, they can be considered as part of one.

Under Android, the impressions are very good:
1. You can only partially trust the documentation: something is already outdated, something is incorrectly described. All this provokes an active search for information and experiments. Improved communication and language skills.
2. Approaches and development tools are rapidly becoming obsolete, as a result of which it is constantly necessary to process large amounts of information, read blogs and watch records of various thematic conventions. It does not let you relax and trains the brain.
3. If you work in a small office, you will most likely have to master the craft of a backend developer, designer and layout designer. You will be both a Swiss and a reaper, as they say :)
4. You won’t get bored on iOS either, you will have to parse 2 languages at once, Obj C and Swift, because on one legacy, on the other they already require to write new applications. Although the guidelines are stricter here, you don’t need to google so much.
5. Perspectives are the same as for PHP. Now there is a large influx of "younger generation" who have completed courses organized by Google and some other companies. Those. in vain the pay will fall, but not for those who are a fan of their business and try to be in trend.
So mobile development is a wonderful field of activity.
