What are the nuances when working remotely for an American company?

Hello everyone,
I want to get a remote job in an American company.
Can you please tell me how can I do this? On the Internet they write that you can either register or freelance unofficially. Are there other forms of interaction with Western companies?
Do employees pay any taxes in the US or only in their own country?
Is it possible to get a permanent remote job in America or just look for customers on freelance exchanges?
Thanks in advance for your patience and answers, I know that there is a lot of information in Google, but it is by no means always reliable, unlike this resource.

Well, to start a conversation, it would be nice to indicate your jurisdiction. And then suddenly Turkmenistan 8-) or something like that.
If we are talking about Russia, then the Russian Federation and the United States have an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation. Therefore, tax residents of the Russian Federation pay taxes on income in the United States at home, and in the states they submit Form W-8BEN to the IRS.
You cannot work in the normal sense of the word, "with labor" (on payroll) in the USA, because you clearly do not have a work permit. so, it is in any case some kind of contractual relationship (which does not exclude long-term cooperation). But all questions of taxes, transfers and other things are your headache, because for the employer you go through the Expenses article, not the Salary.
You can get a job, but you need to understand that the employer is fooling himself for a reason, for money. That is to say - for a great reduced level of remuneration of an employee - in comparison with the local market. If an employee is classified as a screen star, and they hire him because there are simply no others like him in the local market, then it is still easier for serious people to take such a specialist to the United States on a work visa. So - get ready for the fact that a "permanent remote" employer (aka an ordinary bodyshop) is well aware of the prices in the Russian labor market, and especially does not even think of raising the bar.
