What are the modern areas of programming with a well-established set of tools?

I am currently working on the web. development, but I would like to master some other area at a good level.
I would like the number of tools to be not very large, otherwise on the web every six months you have to work almost with a completely new stack.
For example, in iOS development it is convenient - I bought a Mac, went into xcode and that's it. But it is under iOS that I do not want to develop.
Previously, it was also convenient for android when eclipse was out of competition. In general, the question is a bit rhetorical, and I foresee that many do not understand why I ask such questions at all: D I hope for your intuition and direct answers.

Microsoft has released a new Visuas Studio in which you can develop cross-platform solutions.
You can immediately develop for iOS and Android.
In general, I believe that the future belongs to the web, launched the browser and started working, nothing needs to be installed.

and then on the web, so every six months you have to work almost with a completely new stack.
It is not true.
Every five years, yes.

The closer to the hardware, the more well-established in it a set of tools and technologies. This does not mean that the toolbox is not very large or that nothing has changed over time. It's just that there is something new - it's quite an expensive pleasure. And it usually takes a long time for something new to be accepted and implemented and used everywhere.
