What are the limitations when getting Java SE8 OCP while having only Java SE7 OCA?
Hi all.
I took the OCA Java SE7 three years ago and thought about taking the OCP, but somehow my hands didn’t reach. Now I decided to take up this business, but I realized that OCP Java SE7 is no longer relevant.
I understand correctly that in this case it is possible to pass OCP Java SE8, but the only limitation is that for subsequent certificates an OCA upgrade will be needed?

Before taking the OCP Java SE8, you must have an OCA Java SE8 or OCP Java SE (7 and earlier) certification.
There are no upgrades between OCAs (for example, from 7 to 8).
