What are the hsync and vsync options for a 1280x1024 monitor (via xrandr)?

The problem is that ubunta doesn't know the native monitor extension. There is, for example, 1024x768, but there is no necessary one (in the question title). I wanted to add via xrandr. But here it requires a lot of incomprehensible numbers. The only thing I know is the width, height and refresh rate. Here's what you need:

--newmode <name> <clock MHz>
            <hdisp> <hsync-start> <hsync-end> <htotal>
            <vdisp> <vsync-start> <vsync-end> <vtotal>
            [flags...]
