What are the hosting requirements for installing Sphinx?

I have always used mysql native methods to organize full text search. Recently heard about Sphinx. As I understand it, this is a search server that requires a dedicated server. Small online store. There are no more than 3000 products in the catalog. I am using timeweb hosting with the Optimo option. Can I install sphinx on this hosting or do I have to buy a dedicated server?

Sphinx needs a VPS.
But if you have only 3 thousand products and there are no problems with morphology, then the sphinx is not needed. Full-text mysql search is enough

So it seems that the tariff plan does not provide for the installation of something of its own .. as I understand it .. it’s like sites with a pedi set were placed ...
