A universal way is to make a "Thank you for the application" page on a separate URL and set a goal for it. The page comes out after the successful completion of the application.
But you also need to set a goal for the "send" button and make a compound goal
1. The "Submit" button
2. The "Thank you" page
then you can see how many people fall off when filling out the form.
Often it is 50% and you have to do something with the form itself.
