What are the general principles of the Telegram chatbot?

Hello.
I need to write a chatbot.
The person writes "my data", the chatbot should give the person the data associated in the database with the number of this person.
1) Is it possible?
2) Because the data is a little personal, I would not want all other participants to see this information. This is where my conceptual ignorance begins. A chatbot is a special kind of group where each person sees all the "scribble" of each participant, or it is a communication channel of one specific user with a chatbot, which in turn is also just another "person", a contact with whom you can communicate, and the correspondence with him is just a personal correspondence with the user? What does it look like?

Conceptually, a chatbot is an account (like another "human" contact).

  • You can write to him directly and then there will be a tete-a-tete chat. It is this scenario that is implemented when you need to start communicating with the bot through the "/ start" command
  • You can add a chatbot to a group or channel, and then the chatbot can see messages in that group or channel that other members of the group or channel see.
