VDSmanager is a non-existent product (there is no link to it on the off site).
VEmanager - there under the hood of OpenVZ.
VMmanager - there under the hood is libvirt (which means Xen or KVM).
Which is better is a question that cannot be answered unambiguously. OpenVZ oversells well but sucks overall. Techies have long tried to avoid such virtual machines. KVM/Xen work better, provide much more options for clients, but it will not be possible to oversell there.
Why the increased memory consumption on VPS? - a question from the field of Openvz vs non-openvz from the point of view of the client.
