What are the differences between Mac and Windows in development?
Always wrote code on windows.
Now I'm moving to a new company, they give out MacBooks.
What are the differences in development, on the command line? I heard that you need to write before the 'sudo' command sometime. (I write in js, mb it will play a role)

sudo is the same as running the command line as administrator, only this is done directly from the console with a request for your password the first time you enter it, and then administrator rights automatically disappear after a while (+ to security) and you need to enter the password again. If you write in JS, then most likely you will rarely encounter sudo.
Personally, I switched from Windows to MacOS a long time ago, since half of the packages for Python were not corny for me. There was a big problem with the installation. I am also very pleased with the performance of both the system as a whole and development applications.
And I can’t help but note that even though MacOS is quite closed to users, specifically for customizing the system, you can still change a lot of different things for yourself.
A little for comparison, when I used Windows, I first sat on Google Chrome and it, on average, consumed 1GB of RAM, maybe even more. Then I switched to Opera GX, but it didn't quite save me, consumption decreased to 700MB-900MB of RAM. Now I'm sitting on Safari and it consumes 300MB-500MB of RAM.
In all browsers, I watched consumption by opening the same tabs.
Now you will see krakozyabry much less often.
And after a while, you might think about why it used to be that Windows was considered a convenient system.
Here, perhaps, are all the differences in development.
You write in JS, not the core of the system, why the hell do you need sudo
Work like you used to work
UPD: I have been working intensively on Mac for 2 years, I touch js superficially to put it mildly, everything is much deeper, but sudo is not necessary for the web stack. One hell, a normal office has specially trained fixers that will provide an environment in the docker that is identical to the combat one, so most likely you will have more gestures in the docker than directly in the poppy
The license for mac is free (and the only one), while corporate Windows costs a lot of money.
There are fewer glitches, less of a zoo of pieces of iron inside.
